Samsung Galaxy Note — Fan Q&A With Ryan Bidan

Learn more at facebook.com In this video, we asked fans to submit their burning questions about the Samsung Galaxy Note on our Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ pages, and looked for frequently-asked questions across the Web. Here, our Director of Product Marketing, Ryan Bidan, gives some answers.

This is a rebuttal to the Engadget video hands-on of xoom flash performance. The reviewer is either intentionally going for a negative review, or simply doesn’t understand the mobile platform. I hope that any open minded apple fans and confused/enraged android fans watch my video and get a more realistic idea of what is possible at this stage with flash used realistically. The two mistakes Sean Hollister of Engadget made were major. First, in an attempt to make a shorter and more professional video(or to conspiratorily cast a negative light ) he opened each of 4 flash examples in seperate tabs. I don’t know how flash is handled when it is out of focus, but I don’t think people are going to realistically have two flash games and two flash videos open at the same time. Second, he didn’t seem to be familiar with flash as it is implemented on Android, and maybe other platforms though I only know Android. He didnt make proper use of the fullscreen ability which makes for a more immersive, and possibly higher performance experience with flash. This feature has existed since flash was originally place on the Android platform. My examples are of the Engadget review of the XOOM as shown in the video I am disputing. I also showed the canabalt game, and manaca crash. I also showed, and explained a little bit about the fullscreen feature while showing the youtube video the Engadget hands-on showed. The flash popup controls can sometimes be a bitch to manage so using the youtube
